Hawaiian Bread

This is a treat at our house. I usually make wheat breads, but this makes for a nice change and even John will eat a PBandJ on it! The kids will steal slices of it and moan when it is gone. :)
John's Rating: 9

Makes 2 loaves

2 Tbsp yeast
1 tsp sugar
1/4 cup warm water

Mix together and set aside to proof about 5 minutes.

In KitchenAid mix together:

3 Tbsp. Powdered milk
4 cups White flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter, melted
4 large eggs, beaten
1 cup warm water

Add yeast mixture. After ingredients are mixed, add more flour until it begins to pull from the sides of the bowl.
**This is a sticky dough, so don't over do it!

Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Knead dough a few times and roll into 2 loaves. Place in greased pans and let rise for 1 more hour.

Bake 350 until done. Brush tops with butter right after it comes out.
